Oh, 2020. What a year. And we ain’t finished yet!

If you are reading this, that means you have found my little virtual corner of the internet! I’m glad to have you and hope you can stay a while.

This year has been, well, let’s call it unforgettable.

So far, my museum has closed, I got sick and had to self quarantine for 1 month, had my first pandemic birthday, got laid off, joined the protests, painted my first piece of public art in the CHOP (quickly followed by the second), saved the CHOP art, got tear gassed in Portland, went on a road trip to Wyoming and South Dakota, and helped form an art non-profit.

Like I said. It’s been a year.

If you are interested in seeing what I’ve been churning out among these turbulent times, hit the New Work button.

Wherever in the world you are, I hope you’re staying safe and continuing to fight racial injustice no matter where you encounter it.

Keep on keeping on. It’s all about the heart + hustle.

Living in China

I’m so incredibly grateful for the opportunity I had to live in China for 13 months. I ate some incredible food, made some lifelong friends, saved Little Bat from the street, and got to travel all over Asia. During this time, I traveled as much as humanly possible. I knew this opportunity only comes once in a lifetime, so I wanted to take advantage as much as I could. During that time I went to Thailand and Hong Kong as well as China. In China, I lived in a small town called Changshu in Jiangsu Province. I also traveled to Zhangjiagang, Shanghai, Tianjin (more than once), as well as Nanjing, Wuzhen, Beijing, Guiyang, Zhijin, Ansui, Changsha, Zhangjiajie, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hangzhou and Xi’an.
